Russell is a Minnesota native but has lived in and around the Rocky Mountain west for the last decade. He got started in environmental stewardship while working as a Field Instructor for NOLS, where he instructed Rock Climbing and Wilderness courses for over 10 years. With 12 years of leadership experience, he now oversees the construction planning, safety training, and quality assurance for our Lander-based Construction Team. In his personal life, he enjoys spending time in the mountains on foot, climbing, skiing, and biking.
